Welcome to the Sweethart Glass website!

A little about us:

Stained glass artist, Karen Versoi opened Sweethart Glass in 2002. Named for her husband and forever sweetheart, Peter Versoi, the couple has been creating and selling handmade stained glass art for the past 8 years. Their main venue for sales is the Durham Farmers' Market. They have also participated in various shows and festivals. For event dates and news please see the news page.

Each week, Karen creates new pieces, which can be purchased at the Durham Farmers' Market. She is always happy to do commissions and strives to make the customer's vision come to life. In addition to sun catchers and panels, she also offers a line of serve ware. Beautiful serving pieces and utensils that are embellished with glass nuggets and food safe wire. These too, can be personalized allowing the customer to have unique one of a kind pieces on their dinner table. 2011 will see the addition of mosaics to their line of products. Peter will be creating stepping stones and wall hangings for retail sales and, of course, will be happy to design a piece of art just for you. We hope that you will take a look in our gallery for examples of our work.

Sweethart Glass also does restorations and repairs. We are always happy to repair a broken sun catcher or panel. Stained glass is meant to hang in a window, reflecting colors and bringing joy to the owner. A broken piece hidden away in a drawer can bring enjoyment to no one. We are willing to replace broken glass, add reinforcements or just clean and polish, if that is all that is required. For an example of our restoration work, please see the photos of Peace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in our gallery.
